The pieces are really beautiful, but I think we'll have to wait a bit until the husband finishes school to afford those. I hope your upcoming vacation with Youssef is really fun. He should be just old enough to remember it too :) Praying for you sister.

Ahavah, It was a pretty and very long drive. I am thankful that we got to see all those beautiful places though. I think the majlis will have to wait, but once we get some furniture and picture frames, I will post some pics.

Aynur, Yes it is much easier to road trip without kids, but then again what would life be without them? I have a good friend from high school that lives in Seattle too, so we are now practically neighbors. If I was your neighbor for real though, I would come rescue you from your MIL! I really hope things get better for you.

Cairo, lusaka, amsterdam, I have to see about maybe getting the majlis pieces made somewhere else, so it might take awhile now. If I find a way though, I will let you guys know.

Manal, I gave my laptop to my MIL, so I am sharing with the hubby for now. Once I get the camera software on here, I will get some of the new pics up. Take care!Stacy K. https://www.blogger.com/profile/06853574441003653244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2405653927651400188.post-61708802312636558302009-06-28T23:55:38.468-07:002009-06-28T23:55:38.468-07:00Sorry, I do not know why I called you "Lisa&q...Sorry, I do not know why I called you "Lisa" when your name is "Stacy"....LOL Sorry, again, silly me!:(Manalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09155821437133297096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2405653927651400188.post-49370642685245957982009-06-28T14:57:35.242-07:002009-06-28T14:57:35.242-07:00Hi Lisa,

We packed everything we had into our station wagon that we owned at the time, we had to leave some stuff behind and when we got our apartment we had to start from scratch. But, we moved way before we had any kids, we just had parakeets - those are a lot easier to take care of than kids. :DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2405653927651400188.post-57061679831639116812009-06-26T07:35:45.079-07:002009-06-26T07:35:45.079-07:00Welcome home, honey! My friend got some nice couches with her Moroccan husband from http://www.justmorocco.com. They are Moroccan, but I've sincerely never heard of any from elsewhere. I know there's a weird Egyptian furniture site called Cafe Toscano, but it seems like something that wouldn't work for you that's VERY expensive....

Awe...I really enjoyed South Dakota. Glad you got to stop at Wall Drugs. I'm really crazy about roadside relics :) It sounds like a beautiful drive.

I wanted to take Youssef to Disneyland via I-10 and go to the Joshua Trees and also White Sands in New Mexico, but husband is against me driving that far when he's away and unable to rescue me. Ugh.

I'm glad that everything was okay with Layla. Hopefully she is young enough to where you didn't hear any of the usual "Are we there yet?"

Awe...I'm glad your among such a beautiful piece of land habibty. So glad you made it safely! Love you and good luck in your couch search.Yaseminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09511727103777114798noreply@blogger.com
