Layla and her Grandma (my mom)
Lately she had been hardly ever going in the potty. I would put her on and the she would go in the diaper less than 10 minutes later. Frustrating.
Yesterday I was feeling the Ramadan spirit and went out and bought some nice dates. I let Layla have one and she got really excited about it. She kept asking for more...
Then my husband got a good idea. We didn't want to give her candy or junk food as a reward for using the potty because it could add up to a lot of junk over the course of a day. He thought maybe we could give her a date every time she went.
It works! So far she has gone 2x today and 1 last night. :)
Who knows maybe this might work for some other little ones.
That is, if they like dates!

Yeah she comes by it honestly. My husband and I both love dates.
My mom does look young. I hope I have inherited that trait! She is really into health food and takes care of herself too. She'll be a fun grandma for Layla.

You Mom and daughter are adorable. I like the date idea. It sounds a bit like bribing my 17-year-old brother with a Mountain Dew every time he does chores around the house!
Awesome! My youngest likes dates a lot too. We've been bribing with snacks, chocolate, cookies, candy-covered fennel seeds, or anything she happens to want. She's been doing better with the potty and having less accidents, yaay!

lool good idea. my son likes to chew on dates and then give them back :S

@Skye, Thanks! It is frustrating sometimes, but I 'm just glad to have started early. I'll tell my mom everyone thinks she's pretty :0
